What working with Davis ReDesign looks like

So you’ve been scrolling, saving, and daydreaming about a home that actually feels like you. Maybe it’s a living room that’s been “almost done” for three years. Maybe it’s an Airbnb that needs to stand out from every other gray-and-beige listing. Either way, you’re wondering what it would look like to bring in a designer.

“But isn’t hiring a designer only for fancy people?”

Nope! I hear this a lot, and I get it. Interior design has a reputation for being expensive, intimidating, or only for people with giant homes and bottomless budgets. That’s not how I work. I design for real life: busy families, couples starting a new chapter, and rental owners who want their place to shine. Some of my favorite projects have been the simplest. I recently helped a client refresh their condo mostly by rearranging the furniture they already owned and making a few key changes. The result was a space that felt brand new and rented for a great price.

You don’t need to start over. You don’t need to buy everything new. Often, the magic is in using what you have in a smarter, more joyful way, and then adding pieces over time.

So here’s exactly how it works when you work with me. No mystery, no pressure.

Step 1: Say hello

It starts with a quick note through my website. Tell me a little about your space and what’s on your mind. It doesn’t need to be polished. “My kitchen makes me sad” is a perfectly good opening line.

Step 2: A friendly Discovery Call

Next, we’ll hop on a free 15–20 minute call. This is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your home, your goals, and how you live, and you can ask me anything. If it feels like a good fit, I’ll walk you through the next step.

Step 3: Your Idea Spark Session

This is where the fun really begins. The Idea Spark is a 2-hour, in-home design session for $375. Before I arrive, I’ll send you a short questionnaire so I can show up already thinking about your space. Bring your budget, your ideas, and your Pinterest board. Every budget is welcome here. When I get there, we’ll walk through your rooms together, talk about what’s working and what isn’t, and start playing with ideas: layout, color, lighting, and the pieces you already love. I’ll bring my paint fan deck, because I can’t help myself. You’ll leave with real direction and a clear picture of what’s possible.

For some clients, the Idea Spark is the jump they need to take it from there. For others, it’s the start of something bigger.

Step 4: Choose your path

If you want to keep going, there are two ways we can work together:

DIY Design Plan. Perfect if you’re watching your budget or love a good project. I’ll create a design plan tailored to your space, and you’ll bring it to life at your own pace.

Full-Service Furnish & Finish. You’d rather hand it off and enjoy the reveal. I’ll handle the design, sourcing, and details from start to finish.

Both are priced based on your project’s scope, and we’ll put everything in writing before we begin so you know exactly what to expect.

Step 5: Let it grow

Here’s something I believe deeply: a beautiful home isn’t bought all at once. It’s curated, collected, and discovered over time. I’m not here to help you buy an entire showroom vignette in one go. I’m here to help you build a home with layers, personality, and stories behind the pieces. Design is never really finished, and that’s the best part.

Wherever you are

I’m based in Seattle, but I work on homes all over, from family homes to vacation rentals. Whether you have a big project or just one room that’s bugging you, I’d love to hear from you.
